{um I didn't quite realize that a big 69 was going to be on my cover, but what can you do? LOL!}
Okay, so how sad is this? I started this project in 2008 and just now finished it! I am so happy with the results. When I started it, it was going to be just packed with photos, but in the last 3 years I have learned so much from all of the art classes I have attended, this little book took me in a different direction. There are still pictures, but more so, there are "things". Little pieces of ephemera that to the naked eye don't mean much, but to me truly evoke the memory I have of my trip (sometimes more so then a photo). Now there still are photos, but I think together this book is so much more than just a photo album, it's truly a treasure of my thoughts,and feelings.
{I bought an old license plate on ebay and my husband cut it and mounted the binding ring that was recovered from an old small notebook}
{for some of the smaller pieces I used the Creatopia to laminate them, then just punched holes and added to my album}
{I love how this little plastic flag laminated!}
{more little bits of memories}
I have also done this project with two small California motorcycle plates, which requires less hubby help, you can just use rings to to bind through the holes already in the plate. So find your self some plates and ebay and make your own travel journal.
