Halloween Decor with Xyron, Graphic 45 and Petaloo!
Today I want to share with you my Halloween Door Hanger. Perfect Decor for your front door, although I hang mine inside my front door so I can enjoy it! I made this project from half inch Foam Core, a recycled mirror from the thrift store, fabulous Graphic 45 papers, Gorgeous Petaloo Flowers, and my favorite go-to Xyron products. At then end of my post there is a Video Tutorial for the Mirror Image Transfer technique using my Xyron 5 Inch Creative Station so make sure you check it out!
{I love how the image transfer using Craft Attitude looks so spooky}
{I was going to have my door hanger say "welcome" but since my twins looked so spooky I decided "beware vintage ghosts" was more appropriate!}
{I used my new Xyron 3 Inch Sticker Maker to glitter my letters- just run them upside down in the sticker maker, then sprinkle with glitter- perfect and mess free (almost!)}
{I used a combination of Petaloos Darjeeling Flowers in Blacks, Creams, Paprika and Greys to embellish the hanger. I used Xyrons new Adhesive Dots to adhere them}
{I also used some of Petaloos Color Me Crazy Chipboard gears. I gave them a spray with Clearsnaps Dye Ink Spritzers in 3 different colors to get the old rusty look}
{I love transferring onto mirror! This mirror had some scratches on it, but I think it worked for the theme. Using the Xyron Creative Station assures no adhesive residue shows through- and I am going to show you how to do it! So here's a quick video on the process and see my supply list for everything you need to make your own!

Ankle Update!
I can't believe that it was 90 days ago to the date that I broke my ankle in two places at Derby practice. It's been a long and emotional road for me. The pain part has not been so bad, but the mental part of being injured has definitely been the worst. I go from dying to get back out on my skates and play again, to utter fear of even putting my skates on. Fear is real. Unfortunately, I know fear can cause me injury again. It was hard enough telling my Boss and Mom this time, (who were both not so happy about me playing) how could I make the call a SECOND time? At 90 days, I am walking without a knee walker, crutches or boot. I have a cane which I use to keep balanced- my Physical therapist says "NO LIMPIMG"! The funny thing is-take away my cane and I immediately start limping- use the cane and I walk pretty normal, except for the cane :). I decided to go on vacation with friends to the Bahamas and had a great time! My ankle swelled up on the flights and was angry at me for a few days. I took my knee scooter and it was a savior! Mostly I was floating around in an innertube sipping margaritas though..so not a lot of strain going on there! Now I have a mega Blog Hop to prep for- all three of the manufacturers I design for and doing this hop so TRIPLE projects! So for now, just more Physical Therapy and walking practice and crafting!
{funny just noticed I am balancing on my good foot}

Craft for a Cure Registration is open!
{Julie Gordon Weller}
For the last 6 years I have done a crafting event and donated all of the proceeds to Breast cancer research. My Mom is now a 7 year survivor and I know it's hard to find anyone who's lives have not been touched by it in one way or another. Currently a member of my little crafting community is battling the disease. Julie Gordon Weller is not only kicking cancers ass, but is doing so in such an open and honest way, including taking a daily portrait of herself as she goes through chemo. You can see it all on her Facebook page HERE or just search her hashtag #cancerisstupid. This years event "Sweet Sisterhood" will once again be in the lovely home of Andrea Villareal in Rancho Cucamonga California with food provided by Redlands Ford. We will have two classes. We will be making Karin Smolinskis lovely plaster cupcakes, a little Fabric Collage dress by Denise Hahn, and a surprise make and take project from Jennifer Priest of Hydrangea Hippo. Lunch and dessert will be served. The teachers and hostesses donate everything for the event so you entire class fee goes to help support breast cancer research. Please see below for class photos and past event pictures.
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 28TH 10-4PM $100

One of the things I love about designing for Petaloo (besides getting oodles of gorgeous flowers), is the chance to work with all different craft companies.
