VACATION IS HERE!

I am off to here:
{Colorado: Vail in this pic to be exact}

{to do some of this}
And I am so excited, Colorado has gotten some of the best early season snow in years. It will be great to take a work, break and a crafting break. Maybe when I get home I will finally be motivated to clean my craft room!
I will be checking in as I am bringing my Zodak Zi8 flip camera. Pipi and Juno are staying with our friends Jeff and Audrey. They are very experienced pit bull owner/lovers. They lost two of there beloved pups Rhino and Dot (Dot was one of Tempers babies!) this year so they are excited to have the patter of little paws around!
See you soon, flight leaves tomorrow 6:50am!

Deb Hodge Beatrix Potter Charming Class and Ornament Swap

Okay, since a picture tells a thousand words I will let these pictures speak for themselves. I was so honored to have the chance to take a class at the home of hostess extraordinaire Kim Caldwell's. Kim's home was so beautifully decorated it just made the whole day. I loved how Kim's home was filled with artful pieces, many of them created by attendees at the days festivities. Our project was for a chandelier, but due to a small incident involving corrosive chemicals, the shades were not available that day. But like my girl Holly says, when life gives you lemons you make art! Instead of making charms to put on my chandelier later, I just made some necklaces. I love how they came out and have been wearing them ever since! We also had a handmade ornament swap and below are the amazing ladies creations. So enjoy!

Girlfriends Ornament Swap

This weekend was a busy one for me. Met with a bunch of wonderful and talented ladies for a class taught by Den Hodge, then Sunday taught my own class. Saturdays festivities included an ornament swap. I was baffled at what to make until I saw these cute little paper dolls on my friend Sandys blog. You can buy your own template at her shop here. Of course I decked mine out for Christmas and added each of their heads, I think they came out sooo cute and they were very well received! Here they are-

okay my photography was not that great on these, but you get the picture. Stay tuned for more from my crafty weekend!
